Daarna sta ik met de angst dat ik weer last ga krijgen van mijn schouder zoals in de vorige marathon en tijdens de training, aan de start voor een C2 wedstrijd over zestig ronden. Wonder boven wonder heb ik nergens last van en rij aardig mee in op snel ijs en in een kleine peloton. Slechts twee\u00ebntwintig deelnemers betekent dat als ik niet bij de eerste tien rij ik achteraan rij.  Als we bijna op de helft zijn en ik met een versnelling van het peloton meee ga, gebeurd me wat me het hele jaar nog niet overkomen is, ik val. Mijn linker elleboog en knie doen raken hard het ijs en ik kan niet direct opstaan en doorrijden.
