De trailer die ik al zag van de film van Paul Thomas Anderson\u00a0(writer en director) gaf gelijk het jaren 70 gevoel dat in de hele film aanwezig blijkt. De combinatie bekende en onbekende acteurs zorgt er voor dat het geheel geloofwaardig overkomt. De VPRO achtige close-ups laten zien dat niet een cast is gekozen een perfect uitelijk maar voor mensen die hun gezicht kunnen laten spreken. Er gebeurd heel veel en voor je het weet is het voorbij. De humor ontging me soms bij situaties waar het waarschijnlijk wel de bedoeling was, waarschijnlijk een cultuur verschil.
